02/04/2013 - Moaning Lisas would like to thank the Parrothead Club of Tidewater for inviting us to entertain them at the Beach Ball pre-party. We had an awesome time and hope they did too! What a great organization with amazing people. You made us feel welcome and special and for that we thank you. We would also like to thank Jagermeister for representing at the event as well. Great job and we love you guys! We will be adding more dates and venues so keep an eye on the DATES page! Rock On!
01/16/2013 - The new year is starting out great. New venues, new tunes, new attitude and new fans! We are really looking forward to a successful 2013. Follow us on Facebook to get more updates. We are working diligently on revamping our song list. New ones will be added throughout the year so don't miss it. As always, we appreciate all of your past and future support. We will be playing AJ Gators on Cedar Rd in Chesapeake this Friday as well as doing the Frosty Balls Freezin' for a Reason Ride which benefits the Special Olympics of Virginia. That is at Knuckleheads in Virginia Beach Saturday Jan 19 from Noon until 4pm or whenever we decide to stop! Come on out and support this great event! See you soon.
01/01/2013 - Welcome to the new year. Some related band news. 'Big' Al and Dave Almeleh were in a band called the Left Wing Fascists as I'm sure most of you are aware. On Dec 30, they had a reunion show with the Waxing Poetics at the NorVa. They invited me (Richie Bohr) to play guitar with them that night. Needless to say, the entire show was completely phenomenal as anyone who attended can attest. I believe the show was sold out!!! We would like to thank the Waxing Poetics for making us a part of their great evening (their show was off the hook) and thanks to all of you who were able to attend and support this awesome event. Moaning Lisas love you!
11/27/2012 - Well, the band has been busy lately. New dates added and more coming. Now time for a shameless plug. Big Al, Dave, and Richie will be playing at the Norva for the Waxing Poetics / Left Wing Fascists reunion show on December 30. 08/22/2012 - Moaning Lisas have had a great summer. Fun gigs and more to come. We will be playing at Winston's Raw Bar on Sept 14 and Sept 15, we are closing a great event. It is the 2nd annual Bonnie Harrell Ovarian Cancer Benefit at AJ Gators on the corner of Mt. Pleasant Rd and Centerville Turpike in Chesapeake. This is a great event for an outstanding cause. We hope to see all of our friends out to support us and this great cause. This show starts at 3pm with acoustic acts Joel King & Richie Bohr, Mike Proffitt, Dana Silvercloud, Lewis McGehee, and Moaning Lisas close the night. Hope to see you there.
